Queen Rhapsody

Freddie Mercury
Born Farrokh Bulsara, 5 September 1946. Died 24 November, 1991 due to complications caused by AIDS.
He was the lead singer of Queen, and loved his cats - his favorite being Delilah.

Brian Harold May
Born 19 July, 1947.
He is/was the guitarist for Queen. He made his guiter, the Red Special, from scratch with his father. He is the co-writer of the musical "We Will Rock You". (BrianMay.com)

Roger Meddows Taylor
Born 26 July, 1949.
He is/was the drummer for Queen. He is the other co-writer of the musical "We Will Rock You".
Not a good example of "Like a fine wine, people only get better with age...".

John Deacon
Born 19 August, 1951.
He was the bass player of Queen. For their first record, his name was written 'Deacon John' because Freddie and Roger thought it sounded more interesting.

Queen
Born 1970-71
The Origin of the name comes from Freddie Mercury. A common misconception is that the name, Queen, roots from Freddie's homosexuality. But, in actuallity, Freddie came up with the name because of the conotations that go along with the word: pomposity, regality, and elegance - very fitting indeed.
Queen are the writers of famous hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Another Bites the Dust, and Under Pressure.
One could say they ended shortly after Freddie's death, but Brian and Roger still do gigs, commercials, musicals... you name it. They are alive in our hearts, and will never truly end.

Welcome!
